01 Overview
DriverHQ (“DriverHQ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a secure application that lets drivers access the company tools and systems approved for them by their employer or engaging organisation (each, a “Company”). We take the privacy of drivers and Companies seriously.
In plain terms: DriverHQ is a launcher. We hold as little personal information as possible, we do not store the passwords you use to sign in to third‑party company systems, and access to company tools is controlled by your Company.
By using the DriverHQ app or website, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use DriverHQ.
02 Who we are
DriverHQ is operated from Australia and complies with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and where applicable, other data‑protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR for users in those regions.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@driverhq.ai.
03 Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — such as your name and email address when you register or receive a company invite link.
- Support communications — messages you send us when you request help or contact our team.
Information from your Company
- The list of approved tools, tiles, and systems your Company makes available to you.
- Your association with a Company workspace (for example, that you are a driver for “Northline Logistics”).
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — app version, device type and operating system, and basic diagnostic/crash information used to keep the app reliable.
- Log data — timestamps and technical information generated when you open the app or launch a tool.
What we don't collect: DriverHQ does not store the passwords you use for third‑party company systems, and we do not track your location for advertising purposes.
04 How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the DriverHQ app and website.
- Show you the correct company workspace and the tools approved for you.
- Authenticate you and enable secure single sign‑on to approved systems.
- Respond to your support requests and communicate service updates.
- Detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, or misuse.
- Improve reliability and performance through aggregated, non‑identifying analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations.
06 The role of your Company
DriverHQ is provided to you through your Company. Your Company decides which tools you can access and may add, change, or revoke that access at any time. Any data you enter into a third‑party company system is handled under that Company's and that system's own policies, not this one.
07 Data security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and the principle of collecting only what we need. Company access can be revoked instantly. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continually to protect your information.
08 Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de‑identify it.
09 Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@driverhq.ai. Because some information is controlled by your Company, we may direct part of your request to them. You may also lodge a complaint with a relevant data‑protection authority.
10 Children's privacy
DriverHQ is a workplace tool intended for use by adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11 International data transfers
DriverHQ may process and store information in Australia and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it is protected consistently with this policy and applicable law.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of DriverHQ after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
